A new model is proposed to characterize changes in traffic at transitions. These are affected by driver response. The distance headway between vehicles considered as it affects behavior. Driver response quick with a small and slow when the large. variations greater while smooth driver. developed which characterizes based on headway. This compared well-known widely employed Zhang PW models. transitions using an equilibrium velocity distribution ignores Traffic flow characterized only constant. Roe decomposition evaluate Zhang, PW, models over 270 m circular (ring) road.
